週末、寒波が到来し新潟の山々が雪で満たされた。
近場の二王子岳へ装備のテストを兼ねて行ってきた、スタートが遅れたのと想定以上の積雪のため、神社手前に車を置き、歩き始める。 終始、雪が降る中、先行者のラッセルを頂き一合目から三合目の一王子小屋まで二時間程で到達する、先行のパーティが小屋から出て下山するところに出くわす。
小屋に入ると灯油ストーブがあり暖が取れた。 車が雪で埋まる心配があったため、上には行かずカップヌードルを食べ下山した。
